At Michigan Progressive Health, we believe healing starts with a strong therapeutic relationship. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, ADHD, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, our therapists provide compassionate, evidence-based care in Royal Oak and Ann Arbor, as well as virtually throughout Michigan, tailored to your unique goals.
As part of an integrated mental health practice, our therapists collaborate closely with psychiatry and medical providers when appropriate, allowing us to offer seamless, personalized care while recognizing that many clients achieve meaningful progress through therapy alone.
Every therapist at Michigan Progressive Health brings unique strengths, training, and clinical interests. Our team regularly collaborates through consultation and supervision, allowing us to combine specialized expertise with a shared commitment to exceptional care.
Whether you’re looking for EMDR, trauma therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, ketamine assisted psychotherapy, or support navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, or life transitions, we’ll help you find the therapist that’s the best fit.
Effective therapy is never one-size-fits-all. Our therapists tailor treatment to each individual’s goals, strengths, and experiences while drawing from evidence-based approaches that have been shown to promote lasting change. We believe healing happens through both clinical expertise and a strong therapeutic relationship.
Our therapists have advanced training in a variety of evidence-based modalities, allowing treatment to be tailored to your unique needs rather than relying on a single approach.
Mental health isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither is treatment. As part of a multidisciplinary practice, our therapists collaborate with psychiatry and advanced treatment providers when appropriate to ensure your care evolves with your needs.
Many clients work exclusively with a therapist, while others benefit from additional services over time. Our goal is to recommend the right treatment, not the most treatment.
The relationship you build with your therapist is one of the strongest predictors of success in therapy. Our goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and matched with the clinician who best fits your needs.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, or simply looking for support, our team is here to help.
Therapy can be helpful whether you are navigating a specific mental health concern, going through a difficult season, or simply feeling stuck and wanting support. You do not need to be in crisis or have a diagnosis to benefit from therapy. Our therapists will work with you to better understand what is bringing you in, identify your goals, and determine what type of support may be most helpful.
Finding the right fit matters. Our therapists have different areas of expertise, approaches, personalities, and availability. You are welcome to request a specific therapist, choose the first available therapist, or let our team help match you based on what you are looking for. If you are not sure where to start, that is completely okay. We can help.
Our therapists work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, OCD, ADHD, relationship concerns, grief and loss, stress and burnout, life transitions, self-esteem, and personal growth. We also have therapists with specialized training in specific concerns and treatment approaches.
Our therapists draw from a variety of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches based on each client’s individual needs and goals. These may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Parts Work, and other approaches. Your therapist will work collaboratively with you to determine what fits best.
Yes. We have therapists trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy commonly used to treat trauma and PTSD as well as other distressing experiences and symptoms. If you are specifically interested in EMDR, let us know when you reach out so we can help match you with an appropriately trained therapist.
Yes. We offer both in-person and virtual therapy. Virtual therapy is available to clients who are physically located in Michigan at the time of their appointment. Availability varies by therapist.
This depends on your individual needs, goals, and treatment plan. Many clients begin with weekly or every-other-week sessions, while others may meet more or less frequently. You and your therapist will discuss a schedule that makes sense for you and can adjust the frequency as your needs change.
Yes. Michigan Progressive Health accepts Aetna, Blue Care Network, and Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans for eligible services. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary by individual plan, so we recommend confirming your specific behavioral health benefits prior to beginning treatment. Private-pay options are also available.
Absolutely. You do not need to receive ketamine treatment or any other service at Michigan Progressive Health to work with one of our therapists. Many of our clients come to MPH exclusively for therapy.
For clients who may benefit from additional support, our integrated practice also offers psychiatry and advanced treatment options. These services are available when appropriate, but they are not a requirement for receiving therapy.
That is completely fine. You can receive therapy at Michigan Progressive Health while continuing medication management with an outside psychiatrist or other prescribing provider. With your permission, your therapist can also collaborate with your existing providers when coordination of care would be helpful.
Complete our therapy inquiry form or contact either of our offices to get started. You can request a specific therapist, choose the first available appointment, or ask us to help match you with a therapist based on your needs, preferences, and availability. Our team will reach out to help you take the next step.
