Modern Integrative Psychiatry

Bridging Science & Therapy

Dr. Chilton’s academic pursuits have always been at the intersection of consciousness science and novel therapeutic strategies. Her early research at the University of Michigan Center for Consciousness Science delved into the psychological impacts of ketamine, using EEG tracings. She also played a significant role in pioneering psilocybin studies at the University of Wisconsin, focusing on its potential in treating depression and substance abuse.

Innovation in Practice

Recognizing the transformative potential of ketamine, Dr. Chilton spearheaded the development of a Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy program at the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs. Her co-authored KAP protocol is now a benchmark, adopted by multiple VA facilities.

A Passion Beyond the Clinic

Dr. Chilton’s love for live music and festivals has deeply influenced her professional journey. This passion ignited her curiosity about altered states of consciousness and their therapeutic potential. A testament to this was her live onstage therapy session at the Electric Forest Festival. Her commitment to exploring the boundaries of therapy led her to gain certification in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy from the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. She is currently furthering her expertise with a certification in Integrative Psychiatry.
