Spravato®
Spravato® Esketamine is a revolutionary treatment for depression that is fast-acting, non-invasive, and FDA-approved.
What is Spravato® ?
Spravato® is an intranasal medication similar to Ketamine. It is FDA-approved to treat Depression and has been shown to quickly improve symptoms, sometimes after the first or second treatment. The standard treatment course is 2 times a week for 4 weeks, which is then reduced to once weekly for an additional 4 weeks. Depending on your response after the initial course, your treatment team may recommend the continuation of Spravato® treatments beyond the first 8 weeks. We work with Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, who may cover your treatment.
How SPRAVATO® Works
SPRAVATO® operates differently from standard treatments by acting on NMDA receptors in the brain. This novel approach helps reset neural pathways that contribute to depression. Administered in our certified treatment center at Michigan Progressive Health, patients self-administer the nasal spray under clinical supervision and remain on-site for observation for a minimum of two hours to ensure safety.
